The Competition Between Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant is Becoming More Fierce

In the US, the total Google Actions delivered to the users in January of 2019 were about 7.5% of the absolute Alexa skills for the same user base. The number of voice assistants in the US is projected to reach 8 billion in 2023, making this device almost as common as other usual household goods.

The most popular categories in Google Assistant apps are Education and Reference, Games and Fun, and Children and Family. Surprisingly, the weather is the least popular category.
